This page explains how to request deletion of your Orange Bible account and associated data. Orange Bible is operated by Alin Patularu (the "Service Provider").
How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your account and the personal data associated with it, send an email to orangebibleapp@gmail.com from the email address registered to your Orange Bible account. Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" so your message is prioritized.
We will respond to confirm receipt within a reasonable time and will complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying your request.
What Will Be Deleted
The following account data will be permanently deleted:
- Your account record (email and user ID)
- Profile photo and display name
- Reading progress and reading plan history
- Sats balance and earning history
- Your saved Lightning address
- AI study assistant conversation history
- Any notes, highlights, or bookmarks tied to your account
What May Be Retained
We may retain limited records after deletion only where required for:
- Compliance with legal, tax, or accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years for transaction records related to in-app purchases)
- Fraud prevention and abuse investigations (retained only as long as necessary)
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot be linked back to your identity
These retained records do not include personal identifiers such as your email, name, or profile photo after the deletion is complete.
